Week 39: 3 June 2012
Ian Phenna in association with Upfest
Street Artist
This week's Resident Thinker piece was created live at Upfest in Bristol, Europe's largest street art event. Ian Phenna was inspired by Nowhereisland's journeys and constitution. Ian's painting, and many other street art pieces made at Upfest can be seen until the end of the month in the Tobacco Factory car park, off North Street, Southville, Bristol.
Edited by Michael Prior and David Smith
A self taught artist originally from Liverpool, Ian use splashes of colour and words to create layered artwork, often with a hidden theme. Ian makes work as a street artist as well as for galleries and is one of 250 contributors to Upfest, Europe’s largest urban art event 2-4 June 2012, Southville, Bristol.
