Nowhereisland visited Newquay on Thursday 23rd August accompanied by the Embassy, which remained in Newquay until Saturday 25th August.

A magnificient Welcome Flotilla guided the island into the bay on Thursday 23 August including surfers, gig rowers, small craft and paddleboarders. the flotilla was in aid of the Joe Way Paddle for Life. Many thanks to our Newquay partner, Sara Black, for her help in organising this important event.

Due to strong winds and stormy seas, the island moved in the early hours of Friday morning to shelter by Lundy Island. The Nowhereisland Embassy has now left Newquay in order to follow the island into Bideford. Find out more here.
